Lift Releases A New Generation of Mast and updated High Aspect Wings and ultra low-drag Tails

Heavier riders and expert foilers rejoice: Lift just released their new M2 Masts, which offer a claimed 30% stiffer flex and 45% stiffer torsional (twist) profile. While visually, ahem, similar (identical), the new higher modulus carbon offers the increased stiffness without increasing the drag. We are very excited to try these out. Check out the launch video:

Also released today are two new versions of Lift’s High Aspect X wings, sized at 180 and 220 square inches, which will be replacing the 170 High Aspect and 200 High Aspect wings. High Aspect X offer an even HIGHER aspect than the traditional High Aspect line, leading this writer to conclude the X is short for X-TREME. If you haven’t tried a HAX wing, you certainly should, because their pumping performance and glide are absurd. Check ‘em out:

Lastly, Lift has a new line of tails coming out, under the name of ‘Flow’. These tails have the longest fuselage of any tail Lift has made, and very small surface areas. The idea behind this is you get the benefit of really low drag without making pitch control overly sensitive. The trade off is the longer fuselage will make your turn radius larger.
